Calendulas

Today I found a turtle in my calendula bed.

His head is green and the calendula buds
are orange, is how I came to see him

lurking in it.
He spoke to me slowly, as turtle are

wont to do too.

 

We made a promise to be friends and he

wouldn't eat my flowers and stems and
I wouldn't hoe him because it hurts.

We are very friends together slowly as
we are wont to do too.

 

And he can eat some special fat bugs if

he likes to do it only not orange ones

because sometimes in a big hungry

He might look slowly as turtles are
wont to do too.
